Midori Nagumo

Midori Nagumo (南雲美鳥, Nagumo Midori) is an energetic and headstrong college student who moved to the CITY. She is a central protagonist of CITY and is part of the series' main trio, living her best friend Niikura whom she constantly pesters for money, and with Wako Izumi whom she is often pranked and photographed by. Her irrational behavior annoys everyone around her.

Though Nagumo is advertised and often depicted as CITY's main character, she is more of a series mascot. In the manga itself, Nagumo is only one of many major characters, many of whom star in just as many or even more chapters than Nagumo.

Appearance

Nagumo has reddish-brown hair, with a medium-length fringe and a voluminous ponytail which she seemingly never lets down. She has angular, auburn brown eyes and is of athletic build and average height.

She refuses to wear anything other than a t-shirt, denim shorts, and shoes without socks, either sandals or sneakers worn like slippers. When shoes aren't required, she prefers to go barefoot.

Nagumo is generally inseparable from her blue hoodie, though she takes it off to wear her work uniform, and to sleep. It is revealed in Chapter 39 that Nagumo owns 12 identical hoodies.
