X-Men (Series)
X-Men is a Marvel Comic series created by the late American comic book writer, editor, publisher and producer Stan Lee that first appeared in September of 1963 and continue to this day.
Premise[edit | edit source]
The plot of the series revolves around mutants, who are humans born with a genetic trait called the X-gene, which grants them natural superhuman abilities, generally manifesting during puberty. Of course, the storyline concept has a theme of prejudice and racism, involving the mutants. This led to a man named Charles Xavier, a powerful telepath mutant, who goes by "Professor X" who runs a school for mutant children, which he trains them to use their powers for good and formed the X-Men.
